To Celebrate Valentine's Day in the Classroom [S2 E42]

Today, we bring you yet another exciting COLLABISODE with listeners to the podcast! Valentine’s Day is a fun “holiday” to celebrate in the classroom and we thought we’d bring some new ideas your way by handing off the microphone to six amazingly creative teachers. These six teachers have ideas that will help you brainstorm your own take on a Valentine’s celebration ranging from week-long kindness activities, to poetry lessons, and more! Here in the show notes, we’d like to introduce you a bit further to our guest-hosts and let you get in touch with the educator that you were most inspired by.

If you want Amanda’s haiku deathmatch freebie mentioned in the introduction, grab it below. Then, keep on reading to meet our wonderful guests!

Samantha Green spent three years as an instructional coach supporting literacy teachers in underperforming schools. Through focusing on collaboration and best practices, these schools turned around due to impressive gains. But it was the love of the classroom and the challenge of striving readers that has led her back into the classroom as both a Language Arts and Intensive Reading teacher.

You can for sure expect her to be promoting (peddling??) books aimed at  representation to students at her school or to her followers on her various social media platform.
