BNT From Chicago [S5 E108]

This episode is special for so many reasons. Want to know why? To begin, we are recording together in person!!! We’re at the 2022 Teachers Pay Teachers conference in Chicago and it’s the first time we’ve been together since the very first time we met, (which was THREE years ago). It’s surreal to be here right next to each other after staring at each other through a computer screen for years.

As we sit down today, we’re reminiscing on where we started, and getting excited about what is to come for the rest of this year and beyond.

We are about two and a half years into building this podcast and we are more energized than ever to keep going. The more we lean into each other's strengths, and the more we keep growing in our own ways, we're also growing together.

On this podcast, we talk a lot about finding your people. We believe this is especially important as an educator because you need a community around you who “gets it” - and let’s be honest here…people who aren’t in the field of education just don’t get it!

If you’re here listening, we have a feeling that you need this type of connection too. We want to continue being your people by bringing you the most helpful content we can in this upcoming season of Brave New Teaching. In our upcoming episodes, be on the lookout for conversations where we tackle some more challenging topics that we haven’t yet delved into very deeply.

We’ve got lots of things coming your way that we know you’ll love, friends! Until then, cheers to teacher friends, being brave, trying new things, and ALL things teaching!

PS: Be sure to sign up for our free unit makeover challenge so that you can give your units a glow-up too! This is a 10-day email series that will allow you to implement each step of our process on your own time! Sign up below or learn more here.
