What I Wish They Knew [S2 E47]

We’re going back…

This phrase haunted, excited, terrified, and seized the hearts of so many teachers across the world in the 2020/21 school year. As the year trudged on, we heard about (and experienced ourselves!) so many teachers dealing with the dreaded “pivoting” in and out of a variety of classroom teaching scenarios. Some of ua are F2F with 25+ students in a class and no social distancing. Others of you went into hybrid for the first time or are going to be there soon. And some of us have been jostled around over and over and have hit (or passed) a breaking point.

This episode is a Brave New Teaching exclusive episode: a mosaic of teacher voices that capture the raw, unfiltered experiences of classrooms across the globe. We wanted to give our listeners an outlet to let the world know what this experience is like for them. So, instead of “I wish my teacher knew…” , it’s time to turn the tables and let teachers share what life is really like in the 2020/21 school year.

These are everyone’s true experiences. Some are hopeful. Some are miserable. But if someone if your life is having a hard time “getting it” or seeing what things are really like on the inside of education at this moment in history, this is the episode to share.

We’d love to hear YOUR story in the comments, too.
